Air Fryer Potato Chips

Ingredients:

  • 2 large russet potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Optional seasonings:
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Wash and peel the potatoes if desired. You can leave the skins on for added texture and flavor.
    • Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the potatoes as thinly as possible (about 1/16 inch thick).
  2. Soak the Slices:
    • Place the potato slices in a large bowl of cold water. Soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps the chips become crispy.
    • After soaking, drain and rinse the potato slices under cold water.
    • Pat the slices dry thoroughly with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
