Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) mushrooms (button, cremini, or your choice), cleaned and trimmed
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Mushrooms:
- Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth or paper towel. Avoid washing them under water as they can absorb moisture and become soggy.
- Trim the ends of the mushroom stems if necessary.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture:
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, dried thyme, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well.
- Coat the Mushrooms:
- Place the mushrooms in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the mushrooms and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Air Fry the Mushrooms:
- Place the coated mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even roasting.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Once the mushrooms are golden brown and tender, remove them from the air fryer.
- Transfer the roasted mushrooms to a serving dish.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a burst of freshness.
