Bistek, also known as Filipino Beef Steak, is a popular dish in the Philippines made with thin slices of beef marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, calamansi juice (or lemon), and garlic.   • 1 large onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) cooking oil
  • ½ cup (120 ml) water
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
