- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice (rinsed)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped (or 1 cup tomato puree)
- 1 large carrot, diced
- 1Â potato, peeled and cubed
- ½ cup peas (frozen or fresh)
- 6 cups water or beef broth
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp oregano
