Chocokate Ding Dong Cake

This Chocolate Ding Dong Cake is a rich, moist chocolate cake with a creamy vanilla filling, covered in a smooth chocolate ganache—just like the classic Hostess Ding Dongs but homemade and even better!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee (or hot water)

For the Cream Filling:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Ganache:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
