Ingredients (Serves 2–3):
- 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, helps with browning)
For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or sub with more soy sauce + ½ tsp sugar)
- 1 tsp vinegar (white or apple cider)
- 1–1½ tsp ground black pepper (fresh cracked is best!)
- ½ tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp water
For Cooking:
- 1–2 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil works)
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper (any color), sliced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green onion (optional, for garnish)
