Crockpot Cheddar Chili Mac

Ingredients

For the Chili:

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Mac:

  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Additional salt and pepper, to taste

Equipment

  • Crockpot (slow cooker)
  • Skillet (for browning the meat)
  • Colander (for draining beans)

Instructions

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low

Total Time: About 4 hours 15 minutes or 8 hours 15 minutes
