Step 1: Make the Beef “Pizza” Crusts
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix all crust ingredients in a large bowl until just combined (don’t overmix).
- Divide into two equal portions and press each onto a parchment-lined pizza pan into a 12-inch circle (½ inch thick).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Drain any excess grease and let cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce
- Mix mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, and paprika in a bowl.
- Set aside — this will be your signature burger sauce.
Step 3: Build the First Layer
- Place one beef “crust” on a clean pizza pan or large baking tray.
- Spread half of your pizza sauce (or burger sauce) evenly over it.
- Add half the browned ground beef and onions.
- Layer with cheddar slices and 1 cup shredded mozzarella.
Step 4: Add the Second Layer
- Place the second beef crust carefully on top of the first.
- Repeat the layering — sauce, beef, cheese.
- Top with extra pickles or bacon bits if desired.
Step 5: Bake & Finish
- Return to the oven and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove, rest for 5 minutes, then drizzle with extra burger sauce.
- Garnish with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes for a true “cheeseburger” finish.
Tips
- For a crispier texture, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add bacon, onions, or pepper jack cheese for extra kick.
- For smaller portions, make mini stacks using burger-sized beef patties instead of full crusts.
Serving Suggestions
- Slice like a pizza and serve with fries or onion rings.
- Pair with a cold soda or milkshake for a classic diner-style combo.
- Serve with dipping sauces — ranch, barbecue, or spicy ketchup.
