Chicken Wings Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 12 chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional for sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional for a savory kick)
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the Oven or Grill
- Preheat the Oven: If you’re baking the wings, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Preheat the Grill: If grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Step 2: Season the Wings
- Season the Chicken Wings: Pat the wings dry with paper towels. This will help them become crispy when cooked. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. For extra flavor, drizzle honey and soy sauce if you like.
Step 3: Cook the Chicken Wings
- Oven Method: Place the seasoned wings in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown. You can also broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes to get them extra crispy if needed.
- Grill Method: Place the wings on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure they are evenly cooked. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
Step 4: Serve
- Serve the Wings: Once cooked, let the wings rest for a few minutes, then serve hot. You can also serve them with dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or your favorite hot sauce.
