FRIED CHICKEN ALFREDO PASTA

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  1. Place sliced chicken breasts in a bowl and cover with buttermilk.
  2. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for extra tenderness).

Step 2: Prepare the Pasta

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain the rest.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth and creamy.
  5. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  7. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce and coat well.

Step 4: Fry the Chicken

  1. In a shallow dish, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, and shake off excess.
  4. Fry for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Place on paper towels to drain.

Step 5: Assemble

  • Serve Alfredo-coated pasta on plates or in bowls.
  • Slice fried chicken and place on top.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan.
