Ingredients
- 8 chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, breasts)
- 2 cups buttermilk (for marinating)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate: Soak chicken in buttermilk for 4 hours or overnight.
- Season Flour:Â Mix all spices with flour in a large bowl.
- Coat Chicken:Â Remove chicken from buttermilk, let excess drip off, and dredge thoroughly in the seasoned flour.
- Heat Oil: In a deep skillet, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry: Fry chicken pieces for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain & Serve:Â Place on a wire rack to drain excess oil. Serve hot!
