BAKED CAJUN SHRIMP

Baked Cajun shrimp is a flavorful and easy dish to prepare. Here’s a simple recipe for baked Cajun shrimp:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh lemon wedges, for serving
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a Cajun seasoning blend.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl, tossing to coat the shrimp evenly with the Cajun seasoning mixture.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  5. Spread the seasoned shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Be cautious not to overcook the shrimp, as they can become rubbery.
  7. Remove the shrimp from the oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over them, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  8. Serve the baked Cajun shrimp hot with additional lemon wedges on the side.

This dish pairs well with rice, quinoa, pasta, or a simple salad. It’s a quick and delicious way to enjoy the bold flavors of Cajun seasoning with succulent shrimp. Adjust the level of cayenne pepper to your spice preference. Enjoy your Baked Cajun Shrimp!
