Twisted Doughnuts (Kkwabaegi) Recipe

Twisted doughnuts, also known as Kkwabaegi in Korean cuisine, are soft, pillowy, and slightly chewy doughnuts with a beautiful twisted shape. These are lightly sweet, often coated in cinnamon sugar or simple granulated sugar, and are perfect for a treat any time of day!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 100°F/38°C)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
