Baked Apple Fritters

Here’s a recipe for Baked Apple Fritters—a healthier twist on the classic fried version, but still just as delicious. These fritters are loaded with chunks of juicy apples, spiced with cinnamon, and drizzled with a sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack!

Introduction

Baked Apple Fritters offer all the comforting flavors of traditional fritters but without the deep-frying. These fritters are made with fresh apples, cinnamon, and a simple dough, then baked to golden perfection. They’re finished with a sweet glaze that adds just the right amount of indulgence.

For the Fritters:

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)

  • 1/4 cup (50g) light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for tossing with the apples)
