Chocolate Wet Cake

For the Cake:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    • Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add Boiling Water:
    • Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing well. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay.
  5. Bake:
    • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool:
    • Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Chocolate Ganache:

  1. Prepare Chocolate:
    • Place the finely chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat Cream:
    • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to boil.
  3. Pour Over Chocolate:
    • Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute to melt the chocolate.
  4. Whisk:
    • Whisk the chocolate and cream together until smooth and glossy. Let it cool for a few minutes.
  5. Assembly:
    • Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate. Pour a portion of the chocolate ganache over the first layer. Place the second layer on top and pour the remaining ganache over the entire cake.
  6. Optional: Decorate with additional chocolate shavings, nuts, or berries.

This Chocolate Wet Cake is perfect for special occasions or whenever you’re in the mood for a decadent and moist chocolate treat. Enjoy!
