1. Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and drizzle lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
2. Make the Minced Meat Tomato Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add minced meat, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned.
- Stir in paprika, cumin, cinnamon, and oregano. Cook 1 minute to release aromas.
- Add tomato paste, stir, then pour in crushed tomatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in fresh parsley just before serving.
3. Prepare the Fresh Salad
- In a bowl, combine tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, bell pepper, and olives.
- Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
- Add parsley or mint, season with salt and pepper, and toss well.
4. Assemble & Serve
- Place pasta on plates and top with the rich minced meat tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle with crumbled feta (optional).
- Serve with the fresh Mediterranean salad on the side for balance.
Tips for Success
- For deeper flavor, add a splash of red wine to the sauce while simmering.
- Swap feta for grated Parmesan if preferred.
- Add grilled zucchini or eggplant for an even more Mediterranean flair.
