If you’re into vintage music, you’ve probably heard the songs of Johnny Mathis. He’s a pop singer commonly known for his romantic melodies, with a wide range of discography. Johnny catapulted to fame when his manager, Helen Noga, persuaded Columbia Records Executive George Avakian to sign him up. Since then, the singer has produced one hit song after another like Chances Are, and Wild Is The Wind.
In 2017, Mathis received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts at the San Francisco State University, where he attended for quite some time before pursuing his music career. We wish all the best to this incredible man!
