Debbie Harry – Age 79
When it comes to the new wave of punk in the ’70s, there were not many bands as big as Blondie. Key to the band’s success was its lead singer Debbie Harry. Harry did her time as a secretary, dancer, and Playboy Bunny before starting the band with guitarist Chris Stein.
Her most notable hits with the band include Heart of Glass, Rapture, and a cover of the iconic song, The Tide Is High. But Harry also delved in acting, most notably starring in the 1988 version of Hairspray and also had roles in films like Crime Story and All I Want. Her last album with Blondie was 2017’s Pollinator.
