Step 1: Cook the Meats

  1. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet (leave a bit of the bacon grease!), cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Drain fat.

Step 2: Combine Everything

  1. In a large baking dish or Dutch oven, combine:
    • Cooked beef & onions
    • All the beans (baked, kidney, pinto)
    • BBQ sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire, chili powder
    • Crumbled bacon
  2. Mix well and season with salt & pepper.

Step 3: Bake

  • Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake 15 more minutes until bubbly and thickened.

Serving Ideas:

  • Serve as a side dish for burgers, ribs, or grilled chicken.
  • Or enjoy it as a main dish with cornbread or over rice.

Storage:

  • Keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days
  • Freezes well for up to 2 months
