Spicy chicken feet recipe

Fall-off-the-bone tender chicken feet in a rich, garlicky, spicy sauce — saucy, sticky, and incredibly addictive.

Ingredients (Serves 3–4):

For the Chicken Feet:

  • 2 lbs chicken feet, nails trimmed and cleaned
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (for boiling)
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • star anise (optional)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Water (enough to cover)

For the Spicy Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp chili paste (like Sambal Oelek or Gochujang)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (for color)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp five spice powder (optional)
  • ½ cup water or chicken broth
