Ingredients (Serves 3–4):
For the Chicken Feet:
- 2 lbs chicken feet, nails trimmed and cleaned
- 1 tbsp vinegar (for boiling)
- 2 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 star anise (optional)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Water (enough to cover)
For the Spicy Sauce:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp chili paste (like Sambal Oelek or Gochujang)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (for color)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp five spice powder (optional)
- ½ cup water or chicken broth
