Soft & Chewy Nougat Candy Recipe

  1. Prepare a pan:
Line an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  2. Melt the base:
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and condensed milk.
Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Add marshmallows & flavor:
Stir in mini marshmallows, vanilla extract, and salt. The residual heat will soften the marshmallows—stir until mostly melted (a few puffs remaining is perfect for texture!).
  4. Mix in fruits and nuts:
Fold in your chopped dried fruits and roasted nuts until everything is well coated.
  5. Press & chill:
Transfer the mixture into your prepared pan. Use a spatula (or your hands with parchment paper) to press it evenly and firmly.
  6. Chill to set:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully firm.
  7. Slice and enjoy:
Remove from the pan and cut into squares or bars with a sharp knife. Wipe the knife clean between cuts for neat edges.

Tips:

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • Customize it with matcha powder, freeze-dried berries, coconut flakes, or even mini chocolate chips!
  • For a firmer nougat, reduce the marshmallows by ¼ cup.
