Air Fryer Donuts (from Scratch)

Makes: 8 donuts + holes

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Rise Time: 1 hour

Cook Time: 5–6 minutes per batch

Total Time: ~1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (100–110°F)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

For Topping:

  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1/2 cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
    OR
  • Powdered sugar glaze (1 cup powdered sugar + 1–2 tbsp milk + 1/2 tsp vanilla)
