Creamy Cajun stuffed salmon

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Butterfly the Salmon:
    • Lay the salmon fillets flat on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, carefully slice horizontally into the thickest part of each fillet, making a pocket without cutting through the other side.
  4. Stuff the Salmon:
    • Divide the cream cheese mixture evenly between the two salmon fillets, gently spreading it inside the pockets you created.
  5. Secure and Season the Salmon:
    • Close the salmon fillets to encase the cream cheese mixture. If needed, use toothpicks to secure the edges.
    • Season the outside of the salmon fillets with additional Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper, to taste.
  1. Cook the Salmon:
    • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the stuffed salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side down.
    • Sear the salmon for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Finish in the Oven:
    • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  3. Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the skillet from the oven. Carefully remove any toothpicks from the salmon fillets.
    • Serve the Creamy Cajun Stuffed Salmon hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions or fresh herbs, if desired.

Enjoy your delicious Creamy Cajun Stuffed Salmon as a flavorful and satisfying seafood dish! Serve it alongside your favorite side dishes like rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Adjust the Cajun seasoning to your desired level of spiciness.
