For the Fried Mushrooms:
- 12 oz (340g) button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and patted dry
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko or regular breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but adds extra flavor)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
For the Cool Ranch Dip:
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
