Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (any color)
  • 2 cups uncooked penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth (or water + bouillon)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Zest of 1 lemon or 1 tsp lemon juice (for that zesty kick!)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan or shredded cheese
  • Chopped parsley or green onion (for garnish)
