Pico de Gallo (Fresh Tomato Salsa)

Also known as “Salsa Fresca” — chunky, zesty, and made in minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1 small white onion, finely chopped
  • 1–2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (adjust heat to taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime 
  • Salt to taste (start with 1/2 tsp)
  • Optional: 1 garlic clove, finely minced or grated
  • Optional: 1 small cucumber, peeled and diced (for extra crunch)
