Ingredients:
For the Meat Layer:

- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
For the Potato Gratin:
- 4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese mix)
- 1 ¼ cups heavy cream or evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp butter (cut into small pieces)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- Optional: ¼ tsp nutmeg for extra depth
