Slow Cooker Beef and Potato Gratin

Ingredients:

For the Meat Layer:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

For the Potato Gratin:

  • 4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese mix)
  • 1 ¼ cups heavy cream or evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • Optional: ¼ tsp nutmeg for extra depth
