HOMEMADE PIZZA IN SARTEN

1. Make the Dough (5-Minute Dough):

  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add yogurt (or water) and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead for 2–3 minutes until soft and smooth.
  • Cover and let rest for 10 minutes while prepping toppings.

2. Preheat the Skillet (Sarten):

  • Use a non-stick or cast iron skillet (about 9–10 inches).
  • Heat over medium-low and lightly grease with oil or butter.

3. Shape the Dough:

  • Roll out or press dough into a round shape to fit your pan.
  • Carefully place the dough into the warm skillet.
  • Cook uncovered for 3–4 minutes, until the bottom is lightly golden and bubbles appear on top.

4. Add Toppings:

  • Flip the dough and immediately spread pizza sauce on the cooked side.
  • Sprinkle cheese and your favorite toppings evenly.

5. Cover and Cook:

  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Cover with a lid and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bottom is golden crisp.

6. Serve Hot:

  • Remove from pan, let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy your stovetop pizza!

Tips:

  • Use a lid to trap steam and help melt the cheese evenly.
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil or garlic butter before serving for extra flavor.
  • Try a thin crust by rolling the dough thinner, or use naan/tortilla for ultra-fast versions.
