Ingredients
For the Sponge Cake:
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cake flour (or all-purpose flour, sifted)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup milk, warm
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling & Topping:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1–2 tbsp sugar (for the strawberries)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
