Recipe for Puff Pastry Donuts

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
  1. In a bowl, mix 500g flour60g sugar10g salt, and 10g instant yeast.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together 3 eggs250ml warm milk, and 100g melted butter.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
Step 2: Let It Rise
  1. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Step 3: Shape the Donuts
  1. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out to about 1cm thick. Cut into circles using a donut cutter or two different-sized round cutters.
Step 4: Fry the Donuts
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Fry the donuts in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
