french onion beef and noodles

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced (or ground beef)
  • 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 cups beef broth (preferably low sodium)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese (optional but amazing!)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
